Gary Larson
glarson@eastcofire-rescue.org |
I have had the privilege of
serving the residents of East County Fire &
Rescue as one of your Fire Commissioners since
1979. I am currently serving as Board Chairman
of ECF&R, and President of The Clark County Fire
Commissioners Association.
After 33 years in the
paper industry I changed careers and entered the
Industrial Repair industry serving in a number
of management positions. Then, in 2005, I opted
to take early retirement and started my own
business. I manufacture cedar gift boxes, such
as wine boxes for the retail trade, and also do
light construction and home repairs. |

became available when Fire District voters recently approved a “5 Person
Board” at the 2009 General Election. Starting on January 1st, Mr. Hoober
will serve two years—of the six year term—until the 2011 General Election,
at which time interested candidates will be required to ‘run’ for the last
four years of the term.
George Hoober previously served 10 years as a
Fire Commissioner with Fire District #1—and after Fire District #1 and Fire
District #9 merged in 2006—with East County Fire & Rescue. He and his wife,
